My wife and I recently vacationed in New England (Sept/Oct 2018). While on the Maine Coast, there were several beaches we visited that had some large stunningly colorful layered rocks. My best guess is that the majority of these rocks are Metamorphic, although I don't claim to be a geologist. But I am a photographer. So here are some photographs I took of some of these amazing rocks. I'll start by posting 20 of photos. Let me know if you'd like to see more. Enjoy.
